Andrew Stephenson MP has welcomed the Government’s new ‘Fire It Up’ campaign, which aims to promote the value and diversity of apprenticeships available throughout the country.
The campaign highlights the success rate of apprenticeships, such as the fact that 90% of those who complete one go on to work or further training.
Whilst Pendle has historically had a strong tradition of work in the aerospace industry, the Fire It Up campaign also draws attention to apprenticeships in other sectors, such as fashion, food and the Armed Forces.
This shows that the Government is recognising the value of apprenticeships, something which Mr Stephenson has campaigned for in Pendle and Westminster since being elected in 2010.
Mr Stephenson said: “Increasing and promoting quality apprenticeships has been a core part of my plan for the community for many years.
“It’s great to see the Government recognising the value of apprenticeships and the difference they can make to people’s careers.”
