Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson has joined in the celebrations after Burnley FC in the Community were awarded £330,000 by the Football Foundation to support their programmes in the area.
The grant comes from the Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund, which is supported by the Premier League, the FA and Government-backed Sport England. It will go towards constructing a new floodlit third generation artificial grass pitch, with a spectator area.
Mr Stephenson commented, “I have been supporting Burnley FC in the Community as they have some really exciting plans for our area. This latest award rewards and recognises their vision for improving sporting facilities in and around Pendle.”
