Pendle MP, Andrew Stephenson is encouraging people to people to sign for self-build register now available in Pendle. Pendle Borough Council is undertaking a Government backed self-build programme. The Government wants to enable more people to build or commission the development of their own home. They want to double the size of the self/custom build market by 2020.
Pendle Council has identified an initial piece of land in Brierfield for those interested in building their own home. Bids need to be submitted before 25th January 2019.
Commenting on the programme Andrew Stephenson MP said, “ I am pleased to see Pendle Council are looking at innovative schemes to deliver housing in the borough. These self-build homes are designed to meet your specific needs and requirements. They allow you to specify the design, layout and finish of your home exactly how you want them. They can often be cheaper, greener and more affordable than standard market housing.”
